General Information : -

  • Indira Gandhi Hospital has been envisaged as a Teaching Hospital with Super Speciality Services.
  • It has 1241 beds. It is a certified green building with three interconnected blocks – OPD, Ward and Emergency Block.
  • The services and facilities mentioned are on a constant process of upgradation and advancement and therefore subject to change.
  • All medicines are supplied free of cost to the patients. The medicines are purchased as per the guidelines and list of essential drugs issued by Govt. of Delhi.

1. OPD Services in following specialties

OPD Timings – 8.30AM to 1 PM on all days except Sundays and gazetted holidays. Registration counter is open from 7.30 AM to 11.30 AM Monday to Friday all working days and 7.30 AM to 10.45 AM on working Saturdays

3. Dialysis Unit-

Dialysis service with 35 machines is functioning as a part of Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme

4. Pharmacy Services- Located at Ground, First,  and Second Floor ( currently due to a temporary crisis, counters are only available at ground floor)

5. Other clinical Services

  1. Animal Bites Services (Dog Bite 24x7 in Accident and Emergency). Special Dog bite Clinic during OPD hours.
  2. Hypertension Clinic - Monday and Wednesday
  3. Diabetic Clinic- Monday and Wednesday
  4. Vaccination Services including Covid Vaccination
  5. Pre-Anesthetic Check Up Clinic- Daily
  6. Leprosy Clinic : Tuesday and Thursday
  7. Geriatric Clinic – 2.00 PM Onwards on Thursdays
  8. DOTS centre - Daily
  9. Deaddiction Clinic - Fridays at 2.00 PM in Psychiatry OPD

6. Computerised Registration Counter 24x7

7. Diagnostic services ( Laboratory and Radiology )

ICTC at ground floor and Laboratory Sample Collection at 2nd Floor OPD Block. The tests are free of cost.

Radiology Depttis located at Ground Floor, Emergency Block. CT Scan and MRI services are available for free for registered patients of IGH on advice.

8. ICU Services –

22Level I Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Beds with 4 ventilator beds and 20 Pediatrics Intensive Care Units ( PICU & NICU beds).

9. Oxygen Supply –

  1. 50 MT LMO storage tank has been installed. The tank will serve as a buffer storage for linked Hospitals. Yet to be commissioned
  2. One20 KL LMO Tank– Operational
  3. Gas Pipeline System All 1241 beds are equipped with pipeline gas systems.
  4. Six PSA plants of 500 LPM 5 PSA plants of 500 LPM each and one PSA of 800 LPM with a total capacity 3300 LPM
  5. Oxygen cylinders and Oxygen Concentrators

10. COVID RELATED SERVICES

  1. COVID Testing Centre ( only as per guidelines of MOHFW)
  2. COVID Vaccination ( Currently not available )
  3. COVID Ward  currently not applicable)
  4. COVID Isolation Ward
  5. COVID ICU( only as per guidelines of MOHFW)

11. EMERGENCY SERVICES

  • 24 X 7 Emergency Services with 50 bedded emergency ward.
  • Doctors are available round the clock in emergency as per their duty roster.
  • CAT Ambulances are available on call.
  •  Wheelchairs and trolleys are available adequately.

12. OT Services

Routine Minor and Major OT services are available. Emergency OT services have been halted temporarily.

13. BLOOD BANK SERVICES

Blood facility is linked to DDUH for all requirement of patients. Blood Bank service office is located at 3rd Floor, OPD Block. Blood Storage unit is available.

Expansion and Upgradation: The Hospital is in the process of upgradation and expansion of all its services. We constantly endeavour to give the best and quality services and all updates regarding new services will be shared.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF USERS

  • The success of this Hospital and fulfilment of the charter are dependent on the support we receive from our users.
  • Please try to appreciate the various constraints under which the hospital is functioning.
  • It is requested to follow the rules and regulations of the hospital while inside the hospital campus.
  • Please do not cause inconvenience to other patients by crowding, creating disturbances or making noise unnecessarily.
  • Please help us in keeping the hospital and its surroundings neat and clean and let us together maintain hygiene .
  • You are requested to cooperate  with security guards, show your passes when asked for & help maintain the order and peace inside the hospital premises.
  • Please use the facilities of this hospital with care and do not damage/ spoil hospital property.
  • Beware of Touts & unauthorized persons. Don't indulge in any money transactions with them.
  • The Hospital is a No Smoking Zone and all rules regulations will be applicable accordingly.
  • Please refrain from demanding undue favours from the staff and officials.
