INDIRA GANDHI HOSPITAL

Introduction:

Indira Gandhi Hospital, Dwarka, sector–9, Delhi is planned as a 1725 bedded Teaching Hospital and Medical College to be made operational in two phases. The hospital is functional as a 1241 bedded Multi Speciality Teaching Hospital which will be scaled up to 1725 beds teaching hospital with multi-specialty and super specialty services and a medical college.

In the second phase, hospital will add 484 bedded MCH block and a medical college with 150 MBBS students’ intake annually and different post-graduate programmes including MD/MS/ DNB/DM/MCH/Diploma etc.

The Hospital was made operational as a 250 Bedded COVID facility on 10/05/2021, during the 2nd wave pandemic in emergency.

Since its time of initial operations, the Hospital has progressed to 1241 bedded Hospital with all regular services of OPD, IPD, Emergency and OT services.

The Hospital has been fortunate and priviledged to be graced by the presence of distinguished visitors , who have not only imparted valuable inputs, takeaways with their wisdom and experience but has also inordinately inspired and motivated the Doctors, Nursing , Paramedical and other staff .

A round of the Hospital was taken after a brief presentation and meeting with the In Charges of the Hospital.

The Annual CME Session for the year 2022, was held on 16/11/2022. Sh. Hemant Kumar, IAS, DM Southwest District graced the occasion as Chief Guest for the Inaugural Session. First Independent IGH SCIENTIFIC CME SESSION The Topics of the Scientific Sessions were.

Current Aspects of Bronchial Asthma Management by Dr Puneet Khanna, Consultant Pulmonologist, Manipal Hospital, Dwarka

Prof. Dr B. L. Chaudhary , Medical Director, in the welcome address , addressed the concerns of recent times regarding anti microbial resistance and rational use of drugs and also reiterated the benefits of sensitisation the public about the growing numbers of Bronchial Asthma .

Scientific Session and workshop on To Improve the Survival Outcome on 28/11/2022- A collaboration with ZOLL:

The Occasion was graced by Sh. Karnal Singh, Former Chief of Enforcement Directorate as the Guest of Honour. Also present in the occasion were Dr SivahSandrasakre, from ZOLL who was also the resource person of the workshop, Dr S. Kakroo, Medical Superintendent , Maharshi Balmiki Hospital, Pooth Khurd and Sh. Surender Kumar, President , Delhi State Kabbadi Association. The programme also discussed the merits of Public Private Partnership and the need for Stakeholders active participation in development of the Country.
